Let's see if this is seen. I wouldn't say I made a proposal, rather saying that starting from proactive is the better way to make a hybrid protocol. But I'm not proposing doing it. That would be down to others (though I might provide some input if anyone else does it).

IIRC, one of the major issues with AODVv2 was the mismatch of mutable messages and authentication. Also bidirectionally of routes was an issue.
