Too early for now, but we should involve the security folks early on and also talk to IESG to make sure that the broad document structure and direction is in alignment

It is unfortunate when security analysis is done after the fact, and even more unfortunate if the analysis might show issues. However, it's better to know than not know.

@Antoine Fressancourt I don't see this draft talking about encryption algorithms but to answer your question anyways - yes! they are the experts!

Hi @Jeffrey Haas Security analysis was done in the context of RFC8754 with 6man and the IESG. This continued in subsequent specifications in their security considerations as needed. So there has been security analysis before now. That said, I appreciate that we have an opportunity to collect that analysis and expand on it in a single document as we've done for tunneling, bgp, etc...

@Darren Dukes indeed. The gaps shown will be an interesting bit of retrospective for why such things were not addressed in prior work.

Sorry, there was a network failure during my comment. About the re-route SID on SRv6 data plane, there is another solution using BGP Service SID Flag. Jeffery have just mentioned about it.

@Dan VoyerWe use bfd to detect network failure of SRv6 Policy, so the SRv6 Path can achieve ms level protection.
