• Media Operations Use Case for an Extended Reality Application on
  Edge Computing Infrastructure (Renan Krishna) [10 min]

  • Security considerations for XR devices (see slides)

    • Glenn Deen: Those are good security things, they are very
      broad and maybe offtopic for the main document. Document
      shouldn't be held up debating security considerations for
      edge compting etc.
    • Eric Vyncke: This section is going too far, only put the
      difference between normal streaming and XR. If there is no
      more risk than normal streaming just say that and thats
      enough.
    • Room agrees, document will be updated.
    • Rest of the issues will be addressed as well (IANA section
      etc.)
    • Shorten security section then submit it to IESG in 2 weeks

  • Updates from Doc Shepherd processing

• TreeDN: Tree-based CDNs for Live Streaming to Mass Audiences (Lenny

• How many people are going to participate at IETF 119 (offline or

• Challenging to find new work at next IETF, have to rely on mailing
  list

• Suggestions for next steps:
  • Eric: Remind to the WG there is no need for drafts, in ops
    explaining a good solution is also excellent
  • Glenn: Starting new draft looking for contributers, potential
    issues with MASQUE. Clients that are on an access network that
    have access to a fast cache that are being redirected because of
    privacy to a slowers cache on the open internet. Specify problem
    in draft and then think about potential solutions. Anyone
    willing to help write the draft, message glenn.
