WG Chairs:

Nic Leymann
Adrian Farrel
Tony Li

WG Secretary: Mach Chan

  1. WG Status Update (Agenda Bashing) - 17:30
    ○ Duration: 15 mins
    ○ Presenter: WG Chairs

  2. IANA Registry for the First Nibble Following a Label Stack - 17:45
    ○ ID: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-mpls-1stnibble
    ○ Duration: 10 mins
    ○ Presenter: Greg Mirsky
[Tarek]: you are deprecating LSRs relying on the heuristic of the
1st nibble to infer the flow ID. Should we mention the recommended
way to identify a flow in MPLS packet?
[Greg]: Entroy label and/or PW FAT label
[Kireeti]: we can say it MUST NOT use 0x4 or 0x6, but we can
recommend using EL/FAT for flow identification
[Kireeti]: on the new IANA registry (?)
[Greg]: the intention is to encourage applications to set 0x0 and
    0x1.
[Adrian]: should mention that this document is fixing a security
issue of relying on the first nibble.

  3. Use Cases for MPLS Network Action Indicators and MPLS Ancillary Data

    ○ Duration: 10 mins
    ○ Presenter: Greg Mirsky
[Greg]: authors think that the document is in good shape to
progress to WG LC and we welcome review and comments from the WG.

  4. Extending ICMP for IP-related Information Validation - 18:05
    ○ ID:
    https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-liu-6man-icmp-verification
    ○ Duration: 10 mins
    ○ Presenter: Yao Liu
[Mathew]: not clear what you are verifying against what. In MPLS
we check if it's correct binding against a label. What is being
    verified?
[Yao]: verify the correct SRv6 SID (including service) on egress
against what is signaled in control plane (e.g. BGP)
[Mathew]: suggest presenting this in BESS - may have applicability
