Made it more clear. Some texts are moved to general integration. The IPv6 datagrams fragmentation were changed to SCHC fragments (copy-paste error from merging the documents). working on baseline protocols to introduce fsm of laurent. Difficult to read the long names of fragmentation modes. Agree to change the modes to Acronym? Dominique: good idea to reduce the size of these names. Laurent: Remove the window mode. avoid to create new Acronymns. JCZ: Agree with Laurent. ALex: Agrees. Ana: TODO: Send confirmation in the ML. Missing updates of FSM from Laurent. Alex: Agree with Minutes? everyone ? Any objections; No OBJECTIONS. hence validating the minutes. * [17:25] Finite State Machine Discussion (Laurent) [20min] Little bit simplified than the previous fsm. Ana: One FSM per fragmentation mode? possible? Laurent: on receiver: difference when you have full bitmap i) you send ii) you don't send. Colors are to distinguish for the texts and the arrow. not the different modes. JCZ: What happens if you miss the first window, W=0, and recieve direcly W=1? Laurent: if you receive the Window which is not expected, then you reject and wait for the W=0 Ana: At the begining we Expect window 0 always. Laurent: Pascal said we can start from W=1, but Laurent is not completely convinced. This may require some sync between sender and receiver. Laurent: May be need more discussion. and study what happen if we start with W=1 and at the end there an error or time out. Alex: These are some optimizations? How do you it now? Laurent: You use the DTAG. Final window can be ethier 0 or 1 and when FCN is all 1 then this is your last fragments Laurent: This optimization doesn't block insertion of FSM in the draft. Alex: Do we include the FSM in the draft? and then do we find the optimization of this FSM? JCZ: There is a way to optimize this, I like the idea to get in the draft there is perhaps a possibility of ambiguity to get a wrong window? If this is for ACK on Error or ACK Always? Laurent: it covers both JCZ: Laurent: Yes for Ack on error we do not drop the fragment Blue line, goes to the end of the statemachine Ana: That's why it is important to separate in fragmentation mode Alex: For the readability of the draft get two separate FSM Laurent: The description of the FSM will be published soon. Alex: Could you publish this before the next meeting that wil be the last one before the cut off * [17:45] Update on adding a length field for rules (Arun) [10min] Arun: Proposal we have discussed since the last meeting on the ML The first is to have anew column in the rule, describing the length with a value specifying the variable value, this solution is simple and flexible but it will use space for each rule The second one, again we add a column but instead of length value we put a variable or fixed variable, it is most complex The third is checklengt MO, so you can consider the variable length as fixed and then you send value, it is simple but you can not use the LSB for sending the value, no column in the rules The fourth is the union of the thrid to handle LSB but the function has two arguments, it is more complex, even if you do not have to oadd the column on the rules. Input on the ML is to get the simplest solution, so the consensus will be to get the simple solution Laurent: I agree with the 1st solution Pascal: Alex: A new column with a parameter, the type of this column will be define for each function Laurent: we have already this in the target value Alex: If we name this field as actualLength then it will always beused for this. If we name it param, then it can be used for whatever it is need in the future. Laurent: It's too complex Alex: if there is not more question lets add the column and its description to the draft * [17:55] CoAP Timescale (Laurent) [ 5min] Laurent: not going to present in lpwa, to be done in core. Next week submission. In LPWA, the ack is kept by the NGW until the next uplink message. if the ack is lost, then the coap resends the uplink with same msgID. But on the server, it would be considered as a new message(may be the msgID counter elapsed ?) and not as retransmission. Pascal: the idea is that the server knows how long to retain the msg-id in the list for the lpwan. Alex: do we need some kind of requirement of interest and then ask the core group Pascal: Discuss on the ML ,wait for positive replies. This would be a go ahead for Laurent to Core. Pascal: So, if somebody does not agree with this request please said it know Let's confirm this on the ML that we push this work. * [17:50] AOB [ 0min] Action Items from last time ---------------------------- * Pascal to send an email for IPR on the overview doc We wait for Charlie and Anti the answer and then we arer clear about the document Laurent has to answer aswell for the IPR * Laurent to reformat his FSM in 16*9 with just W=X
