Agenda:

Notes:

cddl-control: CB will put in changes into editor’s copy, CA work on shepherd review based on that already, to have a good-to-go version after cut-off.

network-addresses: given the status, CA will start a WGLC until the IETF meeting.

CB presenting “curating tags”
CB: What to do in the long-term to keep tag registration viable?

Summary of the amount of available/taken tags in the different 1+X ranges
(p5) Some structured like array data, map-like. Not all need to be perfectly designed, if something works for an application it’s fine.
Squatting not much of a problem so far (except tag 42, but worked out too).

(p6) Replacing? Network-addresses are the first case. Mime diversity does not make much sense; could we have fixed that instead of creating a new one? (Difficult in registry situation).
Currently, there is no guidance for people coming in with IP addresses – just use shortest may be possible.
(p7) Naked entry “not recommended” might reflect badly.
How flexible is IANA in adding the reference (to the living I-D?)

→ CA check with IANA; notable-tags should be adopted to be referencable there.

CA: Procedurally unsure, can individual registrants update their own registrations to deprecate them or update them?
CB: FCFS may be difficult to track (person moved on from company?) even. Wouldn’t go so far anyway (unless maybe when there are security issues). Most just suboptimal.

CA: If you can find co-authors for the WG phase, that’d help ensure that the document can be kept up-to-date during its live-time.
CB: Will need to do some more homework to get it there.

(Meeting ending in CA’s audio problems and no AOB being raised in the accompanying chat)

Attendance:
Meetecho captures attendance, so there is no need to fill this in now.
