(Added 2019-02-20) o Russ Housley to send email to the coordination list about whether there is a need for a breakfast meeting at IETF 104. (Added 2019-02-20) 3. IETF New Work summary - Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) Russ Housley reported that this BOF is about displaying logos in a DKIM context for email protection and does not overlap with IEEE 802 work. - Predictable and Available Wireless (PAW) Russ Housley reported that this BOF is about using DetNet for wireless, and will likely be of interest to 802.11 and 802.15. This is a non-WG-forming BOF for now, but they may attempt to charter a WG later. - KSK Futures (KSK) Russ Housley reported that this BOF will talk about lessons learned from the key signing key rollover in October 2019 and how things might be done differently in the future. - Technology Deep Dive - Modern Router Architecture (WGTLGO) The Technology Deep Dive on modern router architecture is being organized with the Edu team, and will be more like a tutorial. - BNG Control-plane And User-plane SEparation (BCAUSE) Russ Housley reported that this BOF is about the changes caused by content moving closer to the edges. - Collaborative Automated Course of Action Operations for Cyber Security (CACAO) Russ Housley reported that this BOF is about the coordination of responses to security incidents. - Remote Attestation (RATS) The Remote Attestation (RATS) BOF is a placeholder for a WG that is in the process of being chartered. It is likely to be chartered as a WG before IETF 104. - Stopping Malware and Researching Threats (SMART) This is an IAB-sponsored session that aims to research the effects of existing, proposed, and newly-published protocols on attack defenses. 4. 802 New Work summary - 802.1 Industry Connections: Nendica Roger Marks reported that this is a proposal to extend the ICAID for another two years to continue work on requirements for flexible factory IOT and on data center networks. - 802.3cu - Amendment, 100 Gb/s and 400 Gb/s Operation over Single- Mode Fiber Dorothy Stanley reported that this PAR is about how the continual growth of bandwidth demand has driven evolution of higher Ethernet speeds, including 100 Gb/s and400 Gb/s Ethernet. - 802.11be - Amendment, Enhancements for Extremely High Throughput (EHT) Dorothy Stanley reported that this PAR is for the MAC PHY work in 802.11ax for higher throughput. 5. Review current coordination items - Item 3. IETF NVO3 and IEEE 802.1 DCB Russ Housley noted that this item can be closed once IEEE 802.1Qcy is published. - Item 5. Enabling use of Local Addresses for virtualization and IoT Russ Housley reported that draft-bvtm-dhc-mac-assign is on the DHC WG agenda for adoption at IETF 104. This will need to be coordinated with IEEE 802.1CQ when it becomes available. - Item 11. IETF and IEEE 802.1 OmniRAN TG IEEE 802.1CF was sent to the IETF for review in November 2018. Max Riegel reported that they did not get any response, although the people who are active in both IETF and IEEE 802 would have already submitted their comments though the IEEE process. The 802.1CF specification is expected to be ratified at the IEEE 802 meeting in March 2019. This item can be closed once the spec is published. - Item 21. 6tisch Information is being shared informally until points of coordination are identified. - Item 24. Coordination between the IETF and IEEE 802 on Pervasive Monitoring Juan Carlos Zuniga reported that the 802E specification is in WG letter ballot, which closes on 22 February 2019. Juan Carlos let the chair know that the IETF is interested in providing comments, but the chair would like to resolve the comments from 802.1 before sharing the document. The comments are expected to be resolved at the March 802 meeting. Dorothy Stanley and Juan Carlos Zuniga took an action to talk with the chairs of 802E and identify a plan and date for sharing this with the IETF. - Item 25. Layer2/Layer 3 Interaction for Time-Sensitive Traffic Deborah Brungard reported that the DetNet architecture document (draft-ietf-detnet-architecture)is currently in IESG evaluation. Russ Housley will send a message to the coordination list asking people to send comments. - Item 27. Development of YANG models in the IEEE 802 Russ Housley reported that yangcatalog.org still needs more metadata, and that there is need for the IETF and IEEE 802 to coordinate on YANG modules for VLAN and EtherTypes. Scott Mansfield said that this would be discussed on the IEEE 802 Yangsters call later this month. Russ Housley will reach out to Benoit Claise to find out what is needed to coordinate on the YANG model for VLANs. - Item 30. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Russ Housley said that he is hopeful that the last issues on draft-ietf-ipwave-ipv6-over-80211ocb will be resolved before IETF 104. Dorothy Stanley reported that IEEE 802.11bd is working on enhancements for next generation V2X. - Item 31. LPWAN Bob Heile reported that IEEE 802.15.4w has an internal draft now, with the goal of starting WG letter ballot after their March meeting. There are plans to include 15.4w in LPWAN. - NEW ITEM Alvaro Retana noted that there was a discussion on Layer 2 discovery in Bangkok and asked whether a coordination item should be added. Dorothy Stanley noted that Paul Congdon had said that the main topic has been the interaction between IETF LSVR and IEEE 802.1 regarding the IETF's LSoE protocol and a consideration for a new LLDPv2 protocol in 802.1. Alvaro Retana and Russ Housley will write up a description for a new coordination item on interactions between IETF LSVR and IEEE 802.1 regarding the IETF's LSoE protocol and a consideration for a new LLDPv2 protocol in 802.1. - NEW ITEM Dorothy Stanley and Russ Housley will investigate the need for adding a coordination item on source address validation for 802.11. 6. Assess need for breakfast meeting during March 25th 2019 IETF week (Prague) Russ Housley asked if anyone on the call saw a need to have a breakfast meeting during IETF 104; no one did. Russ will follow up with an email to the coordination list to ask whether there is a need for a breakfast meeting at IETF 104. 7. Adjourn
