Ryan Polk said that he could provide some numbers about the Internet Society's Policymaker Program, and Colin Perkins agreed to review the slides from an IRTF perspective. 4. Report from November 2024 I* meeting Tommy Pauly reported that the leadership from the various I* bodies met during ICANN in November. Most people participated in person, although some people participated remotely. The meeting was arranged by Sally Wentworth to introduce new leadership and try to restart communication between these groups. There was broad agreement that it is unlikely that the groups will need to issue any large joint statements as they have in the past, but that coordination and alignment on the statements that the various bodies make would be appreciated. 5. EU Targeted consultation on Internet Governance The IAB discussed whether to respond to a European Commission targeted consultation on Internet Governance. Mirja Kühlewind noted that the survey includes a question about the need for changes or improvements to the mandates of ICANN, IETF, and IGF. Ryan Polk said that the Internet Society is planning to respond to this consultation. Colin Perkins said that he thinks the IAB should respond as well. Mirja Kühlewind offered to draft some text, but was not sure about how to respond. Ryan will send an email asking about the best way for the IAB to respond to David Frautschy, who is coordinating the ISOC response, and cc Mirja. 6. Liaison Coordination Update The IAB briefly discussed potential boilerplate responses to liaison statements and agreed to have a more in-depth discussion at their meeting on 2024-12-18. Cindy Morgan will invite Scott Mansfield to that meeting so that the IAB can get his input.
