Francesca Palombini is a Senior Researcher at Ericsson Research in Stockholm, Sweden, where she has worked on infrastructure protocols for constrained node networks, with a focus on defining and standardizing security protocols for the Internet of Things. Francesca has served as co-chair of the Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR), the Security Dispatch (Secdispatch) and the General Area Dispatch (Gendispatch) working groups, as well as part of the Internet of Things and Security Directorates. Francesca was selected as Applications and Real-Time (ART) Area Director in 2021.
Francesca has a background in embedded systems and software. She holds a Master of Science in Information and Communication Technology engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, and a Master of Science in Embedded Systems and Software from Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP), Grenoble, France.
