Alan DeKok

Alan has a background in farming and particle physics. As neither activity paid well, he got into computers. After spending some time working on an embedded real-time operating system for the 6809, he got a job working on ISDN bridges and routers.

He was introduced to RADIUS in 1997, and started the FreeRADIUS project in 1999. It has since become the worlds most popular RADIUS server. He has worked in many working groups related to AAA, such as AAA, ABFAB, DIME, EMU, and RADEXT.
