Mike Bishop

Mike Bishop is a Principal Architect at Akamai Technologies. He was editor of HTTP/3 (RFC 9114) and co-author of SVCB (RFC 9460), as well as being an active contributor to work on HTTP/2, QUIC, and various other protocols in WIT and related areas. Prior to being selected as Area Director, he served on the HTTP Directorate.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and a Master’s from Purdue University. He lives in Cincinnati with his lovely wife, two quirky kids, and two cats who eat things they shouldn't.
