'IV'. Statement
The Patent Holder states that its position with respect to licensing any patent claims contained in the patent(s) or patent application(s) disclosed above that would necessarily be infringed by implementation of the technology required by the relevant IETF specification ("Necessary Patent Claims"), for the purpose of implementing such specification, is as follows(select one licensing declaration option only): See text box below for licensing declaration. Licensing information, comments, notes or URL for further information: Nortel Networks may seek patent rights on technology described in a document which Nortel Networks contributes for use in IETF standards discussions or standards track specifications. If such patented technology is essential for the implementation, use, and distribution, of an IETF standard, Nortel Networks is willing to make available nonexclusive licenses on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms and conditions, to such patent rights it owns, solely to the extent such technology is essential to comply with such IETF standard. Also, to the extent that an essential patent(s) is subsequently identified, Nortel Networks is willing to make available a nonexclusive license under such patents, on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms and conditions. Similarly, when and if patent applications are subsequently issued, and determined essential to the practice of an IETF standard, Nortel Networks is willing to make available nonexclusive licenses under such patents, on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms and conditions. The terms apply to those patents for which Nortel Networks has the right to grant licenses.
