# IESG Area Director AMA

In support of the 2024 NomCom, the IESG Liaison is coordinating 2 AMA (Ask Me
Anything) sessions.

The first will be October 7th 7 AM CDT, recorded through meetecho and available
for review by candidates in different time zones.

The second will be during the week of IETF 121 in Dublin, in person, not
recorded, exact details TBD.

At least the following Area Directors will be present:

- Orie Steele, Applications and Real-Time Area Director
- Francesca Palombini, Web and Internet Transport Area Director

Other current or former ADs are welcome to join and share their experiences.

The purpose of these meetings is to answer questions that candidates may have
regarding the position of Area Director and experience working as part of the
IESG. If you do not wish to be recorded, but still have questions, you may
email Orie or Francesca directly.
