Ballot Text

Technical Summary

This document defines RESTCONF protocol extensions needed for NMDA (Network Management Datastore Architecture) support.

Working Group Summary

NETCONF WG came to a consensus on technical details and there were no controversial aspects left unresolved. This document is a “copy” of the equivalent functionality of NETCONF NMDA extensions.

Document Quality

There is an interest in implementing NMDA extensions from the vendor community. RESTCONF generally sees somewhat less operator exposure compared to NETCONF but there is interest in the operations community for having NMDA support in RESTCONF environments too. The document was reviewed by YANG doctors with no major issues.

Personnel

Document shepherd is Mahesh Jethanandani. Responsible AD is Ignas Bagdonas. Document adds several new entries into existing IANA registries.
