Alex presents Note-Well and validates minutes. Meeting is not recorded.
Laurent and Ana: New version of the draft will be available soon.

## Discussing SCHC over PPP

Eric: PPP is not listed as a baseline technology and it would be a stretch to
have it in SCHC WG; INTAREA WG is more suitable and this document should
continue its path in INTAREA WG. The WG last call will be made in both groups
(INT area + LPWAN). Authors should subscribe to the intarea mailing list in
order to receive comments. Reviews should be sent at least to one mailing list
(intarea or lpwan) or preferably to both mailing lists (could be moderated if
not member though). TODO: request for 2 slots at intarea WG meeting at
IETF-108: schc generic presentation (10 min) (Laurent or Dominique) and PPP
(Pascal).

[16:10] SCHC over LoRaWAN [40min]

Olivier: remove the name (heartbeat) and made it optional if no traffic is
needed. Can be disable. No fport and FRM.

Pascal: is there always this message or only when there is no traffic.

Olivier presents the mail he sent to the mailing list.

Alexander: how about the link between LNS-App Server, when the FPort is
missing? Is it going to send an indication to the AppServer? Julien Catalano:
the goal is to provoke only the downlink, e.g. from the LNS queue Olivier:
generally, LNS will send indication when the downlink has been sent Alexander:
OK, as long as the people on the call / list are OK with this I have no
objections

A discussion on the queueing of uplink to generate downling opportunity. The
'immediate' word means that a downlink is queued immediately, but can be sent
at a later stage by the LoRaWAN stack, e.g. for regulatory or energy-efficiency
considerations.

Olivier explaining Retransmission timer recommended value.

Olivier: Randomness in timings - a discission on potential proposed mechanisms,
such as exponential backoff - so that there is a flow control, which will avoid
overloading the GW. A GW can be overloaded, because too much uplink trafic can
saturate its downlink capacity. Julien: LoRaWAN ADR uses such exponential
backoff, and a question is if SCHC should use the same mechanism. For the
moment, it seems it's reasonable as specified.

Alexander: confirm on the mailing list. Everything seems to be quite clear now
in the group, minor things remain to be confirmed.

Pascal: After all is clarified we can close the WGLC. Dominique is the
shepherd, so once his report is written we can request publication.
