1 About eSIM Working Group 2 eSIM Working Group 2 is responsible for the technical realisation of the eSIM / Remote SIM Provisioning technical specifications (SGP.02, SGP.22 and SGP.32). 2 Summary The eSIM Working Group 2 is currently incorporating Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) support into various eSIM / Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) technical specifications. Several of our existing specifications for eSIM server-to-server and device-to-server interfaces rely on TLS. We are interested in adopting the Post-quantum hybrid ECDHE-MLKEM Key Agreement for TLSv1.3 (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-tls-ecdhe-mlkem/ ) as a normative reference in our upcoming specification updates. To facilitate our planning, the eSIM Working Group 2 kindly requests an indicative timeline for the aforementioned Internet-Draft's progression to a published RFC. Our indicative deadline for including new normative references in our next specification update is Q4 2025. The eSIM Working Group 2 looks forward to fruitful collaboration with the IETF TLS Working Group on this matter. 3 Request to IETF TLS Working Group The IETF TLS Working Group is kindly requested to take into account the above information and request. 4 Next meetings - eSIM WG2#119 - Jun 23, 2025 – London, United Kingdom - eSIM WG2#122 – Sep 15, 2025 – London, United Kingdom 5 Contact In the case of any questions and/or feedback, these can be directed to GSMALiaisons@gsma.com. |
