   Obsoletes: RFC4234

Introduction: Please REMOVE

   Changes since [RFC2234]:

In Section 3.7, the phrase: "That is, exactly <N> occurrences of
<element>." was corrected to: "That is, exactly <n> occurrences of
      <element>."

Some continuation comment lines needed to be corrected to begin
      with comment character (";").

Section 2.4:
OLD

although Appendix A (Core) provides definitions for a 7-bit US-ASCII

NEW

although Appendix B (Core) provides definitions for a 7-bit US-ASCII
                     ^

Informational References: please remove..

Specifications: ABNF", RFC 2234, November 1997.

Appendix B:
OLD

Certain basic rules are in uppercase, such as SP, HTAB, CRLF, DIGIT,
   ALPHA, etc.

NEW

This appendix contains some basic rules that are common to many
uses of ABNF. Basic rules are in uppercase. Note that these rules
are only valid for ABNF descriptions of 7-bit ASCII, and other
rules would have to be used for UTF-8 or other character sets.
