I was somewhat involved in helping the authors through the IETF process.
I was not involved with the content of this draft but I rather recuse as it
is easy to get the wrong impression that I am supporting a draft written by
a colleague of mine.

The Abstract does not tell the reader about this document.  It tells
  the reader what the Mobile XMF standard is all about, and it tells
  the reader who developed the Mobile XMF standard.  It needs to tell
  the reader that a MIME type associated with the Mobile XMF standard
  is being registered.

1. A list of acronyms and their explanation would be of help in improving the readibility of this document - e.g. MIDI, XMF, etc. appear starting wth the Abstract section without being explained.
2. The size (or maximal size) of the revision optional parameter is missing
3. What is the registry for revision ID number? It is refered being originated from the XmfFileTypeRevisionID field of the XMF Meta File format 2.00, but there is no explanation who maintains this
4. the references section does not use the standard brackets format, which leads to idnits tools complaining about missing references

mobile-xmf to the Audio Media-Types registry located at:

They were waiting for ietf-types review; Magnus initiated that, as I
recall.  I've cc'ed him on this message.

If the types review period is up, they can go on the ballot without
last call.  I'll have spotty availability this week because of family
stuff taking me to Houston, so either of you is free to put them on
if they are ready.
