Charter Discussion (Group Editing Session)

[See google doc edits, etc]

Questions on WG Formation

1. Is the charter text clear and understandable?

- Question about how the service is applicable/provisioned, or to know how to
use it. Brian's response is that that's the first deliverable in the charter.

- Is it in scope to use BANANA over SD-WAN or within Software-Defined VPNs?
Current charter is focused on Internet and residential use-cases. Margaret's
response is that is not specifically in scope.

- Is the charter text trying to define new protocols?

Clear? Decent Hum.
Unclear? Low murmer.

2. Does it describe a problem and solution space to be worked on in the IETF?

In IETF? Decent Hum again.
Not in IETF? Low murmer.

===> Same group as first one

3. Does the group have interest in working on this?

About a dozen.

Suresh: I think there's some support for this, but there are a few clarity
questions. Giving three weeks for clarifications on charter to go out and
discuss.

We'll re-use existing protocols where applicable (that should be in the
charter), but creating new protocols is the work of the WG if it gets formed.
