  1. Re-consider the multiple ways the word "guides" is used for multiple
programs to be sure it is clear about to what it refers.
  2. Input will be also solicited from the emo-dir list

4. IETF 114 plans

Karen reviewed the plans and timing for the upcoming IETF 114 meeting.
Q: about newcomers dinner: just for newcomers?
A: TL;DR: yes, at the moment

5. Outreach (Andrew Campling)

Overview by Andrew about the proposal he has made via the emo-dir
list.

Discussion/commments:

  • Suggestion to consult with ISOC, in particulare abou their Policy
    Guests Program

  • Active participation may not be a realistic goal (given other
    commitments)

  • Providing WG chairs info/encouragement to engage folks about their
work might be a good activit

Andrew reports that initial reaction from potential participants is
"interested".

Next steps: Connect with ISOC (Karen and Andrew) about their experience
with the ISOC Policy program.

6. Extended IETF Guides Program (Paul Wouters)

Paul and Karen will bring up and discuss at the next IETF 114 newcomers
planning meeting.
