Are any corrections needed to the August interim minutes?
- No corrections, so official

draft-ietf-cellar-tags
- Spencer has nudged Orie to take a look at -19, which should address
Orie's AD Evaluation comments. - Next step is Last Call, for comments from other IETF participants.
draft-ietf-cellar-codec
- Spencer issued a three-week WGLC for the -15 version.
- Spencer doesn't see any comments on our mailing list, and doesn't
see any new issues in Github for this specification. - WGLC has ended (on 2025-09-16).
- Next step is for Spencer to do a shepherd writeup and request
publication. Spencer is chasing nits and is verifying availability
of references.
draft-ietf-cellar-ffv1-v4
- Our last few meeting minutes have said "The draft is waiting for
implementation experience and feedback. We still expect to request
publication in 2025." - If we expect to complete WGLC before year end (which realistically
means "end of November at most"), what do we need to do before WGLC? - We're thinking March 2026. We want to publish v4 before it's already
in the wild (that was a problem with v3) - The draft is expired, but we'll wait to submit an updated version
until we have something to revise in the draft. - v4 is already in ffmpeg experimental code now, so we don't want to
wait too long. - We need to compare source code with the specification, and then
Spencer can review the specification.
🛸 Any Other Business
-
Matroska v5 is likely to have an initial draft in the next few
months. -
We discussed
https://github.com/ietf-wg-cellar/matroska-specification/pull/1026
and concluded that what was needed could be done with the tag system
instead. Dave asked if we needed to say more in tags to cover cases
like this one, recommending tag names and a vocabulary for the
values. Jérôme will capture the conversation in an update to the PR. -
Spencer and Robert should propose 2026 meeting dates (soon).
