Document: draft-ietf-nmop-simap-concept Title: SIMAP: Concept, Requirements, and Use Cases Reviewer: Michael Tüxen Review result: Ready with Nits This document has been reviewed as part of the transport area review team's ongoing effort to review key IETF documents. These comments were written primarily for the transport area directors, but are copied to the document's authors and WG to allow them to address any issues raised and also to the IETF discussion list for information. When done at the time of IETF Last Call, the authors should consider this review as part of the last-call comments they receive. Please always CC tsv-art@ietf.org if you reply to or forward this review. There are two comments related to transport layer considerations: 1. Section 6 requires that transport security must be used. It might make sense to also require that appropriate congestion control is used. This is implicitly given, if TLS/TCP or SSH/TCP is used, but not if DTLS/UDP is used. 2. Information about different protocol layers can be collected and processed, but the transport layer is not mentioned explicitly. I don't know if this is intended or by accident. Therefore I wanted to bring this question up. Best regards Michael
