I have reviewed this document as part of the Operational directorate's
ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the
IESG. These comments were written with the intent of improving the
operational aspects of the IETF drafts. Comments that are not
addressed in last call may be included in AD reviews during the IESG
review. Document editors and WG chairs should treat these comments
just like any other last call comments.

 Document: draft-ietf-pals-mpls-tp-pw-over-bidir-lsp-06

 Status: Not Ready

This draft defines an optional extension to LDP that enables the binding
between pseudowires and the underlying TE tunnels.

I apologize in advance for the sticky subject of consensus. The doc shepherd
writes that there was a majority of silence from the WG, but that this is
typical for minor updates. That might be so, but it eschews (to me) what
consensus is. I'm surprised to see that the lack of support was interpreted as
consensus. There was also an IPR filed and the WG didn't comment on it - that's
also surprising - as a community, we typically do discuss (a lot) the IPRs that
get filed. Finally, Mirja raised several discuss points that I thought needed
some addressing before this document moves on. I would also point out that the
introduction as written is pretty solid; I'll have to steal this as an example
to my WG for good opening prose. Thanks!

Regards,
Sarah
