The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) would like to request that WBA_ID be
added as a new Operator Namespace Identifier, as defined in the registry at

The WBA is an industry group focused on promoting seamless Wi-Fi access for
users, operators, and carriers over the past 15 years and is composed of more
than 120 global members. WBA lays a framework for Wi-Fi roaming in the same way
that GSMA provides guidance for cellular operators and cellular roaming.

The GSMA maintains a registry of TADIG codes for their members, which
correspond to a business unit of a GSM operator. Often times, that operator can
also administer Wi-Fi networks, and are able to use their TADIG code as their
RADIUS Operator-Name.

The WBA maintains a similar registry of WBA_IDs for our members, corresponding
to a business unit of a Wi-Fi operator. A Wi-Fi operator might have no cellular
business units, and no TADIG code.

We respectfully request consideration to be added to the Operator Namespace
Identifier Registry, allowing us to recommend this alternative to Wi-Fi
providers. WBA would appreciate feedback as soon as possible and look forward
to a continued cooperation between both organizations.
