ITU-T Study Group 20 would like to inform ITU-T SG13, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 41, ETSI Smart M2M, 3GPP, OMA, IETF, IEEE-SA that during the ITU-T SG20 meeting (Virtual, 17-27 May 2021), a new work item has been initiated to develop a draft new Recommendation ITU-T Y.DT-interop, “Interoperability framework of digital twin systems in smart cities and communities”. The A.1 justification for draft new Recommendation ITU-T Y.DT-interop is attached to this liaison statement. Please note that ITU-T SG20 is also working on other topics related to the Digital Twin area. ITU-T SG20 looks forward to collaborating with you on related topics regarding the new work item Y.DT-interop.
