The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) would like to share that a recent
informational draft has been submitted to IETF which describes the operation of
the WBA OpenRoaming federation of Wi-Fi access and identity providers
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-tomas-openroaming).

WBA understands that the topic of OpenRoaming has been raised in various IETF
Working Groups, including MADINAS, RADEXT and DISPATCH as well as OpenRoaming
being used in various experiments by IETF NOC at IETF events. WBA hopes the
Internet-Draft helps clarify operation of the OpenRoaming federation. WBA and
the OpenRoaming Chairs would be happy to discuss the operation of the
federation in more details with the relevant IETF WGs.

WBA would welcome the opportunity to work with IETF NOC at future IETF events
and would be happy to organize the ability for IETF attendees to sign-up for an
OpenRoaming test credential at such events, enabling IETF attendees to
provision OpenRoaming credentials on their devices while demonstrating
OpenRoaming secure, seamless onboarding to the wider IETF community.
