Dear Colleagues,

The Broadband Forum is developing projects containing YANG models that depend
on IETF YANG models that are defined in active Working Group Internet-Drafts:

- draft-ietf-netconf-crypto-types
- draft-ietf-netconf-keystore
- draft-ietf-netconf-tcp-client-server
- draft-ietf-netconf-tls-client-server
- draft-ietf-netconf-trust-anchors

One of these projects, WT-477: CloudCO Enhancement – Access Node Hardware
Disaggregation, is reaching a level of maturity where the next steps include
the publication of the Technical Report (TR-477) and its associated YANG
models, with the goal being the end of this year.

Thus far, we have avoided publishing YANG models that depend on draft versions
of YANG models from other SDOs as future/final versions of those models could
introduce backward incompatible changes. Given our near-term desire to publish
TR-477, we would like to know the current timeline for publication of these
Working Group Internet-Drafts. Further, we would like to know the stability of
these models if we decide to publish TR-477 before the IETF publishes the RFCs.
Are they technically stable, i.e., only editorial changes are expected?

We look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Lincoln Lavoie,
Broadband Forum Technical Committee Chair
