This liaison statement informs about the approval of the Technical Specification ITU FGMV-19 on “Service scenarios and high-level requirements for metaverse cross-platform interoperability” at the 4th ITU FG-MV meeting. ITU Focus Group on metaverse (FG-MV) would like to thank all metaverse-related organizations for their collaboration in metaverse standardization activities. FG-MV would like to inform you about the approval of the Technical Specification ITU FGMV-19 (ex. FGMV-D5.1-uriop) “Service scenarios and high-level requirements for metaverse cross-platform interoperability”. In particular, Working Group 5 (WG5) of FG-MV, would like to thank ITU-T SG11, the VRM consortium, W3C, and 3GPP SA4 for informing their standardization status currently related to (or to be related to) metaverse cross-platform interoperability. Their status was included in the deliverable. The deliverable ITU FGMV-19 (ex. FGMV-D5.1-uriop) contains nine service scenarios for metaverse cross-platform interoperability, along with high-level requirements. This identified four major interoperability aspects to be considered for cross-platform interoperability such as avatar, content, digital asset and identity, and listed relevant high-level requirements derived from the service scenarios. ITU FG-MV looks forward to continuing the collaboration on metaverse-related standardization activities. |
