XiPeng Xiao

Dr. Xipeng Xiao is a network engineer and standards contributor with experience spanning operators and vendors since 1998. He is now based in Germany with Huawei, working closely with European operators and industry partners. Before moving to Europe in 2008, he worked with major U.S. operators at Riverstone Networks and Redback Networks in the Bay Area. Earlier, he led MPLS deployment and operations for Global Crossing (now part of Lumen/Level 3). He is the author of four RFCs (including RFC 2873) and a book on Internet QoS. His current focus is collaborating across the IETF to make IPv6 dual-stack deployment significantly lower-risk for enterprises, enabling simpler, safer adoption at scale.
