The IESG has no problem with the publication of 'Media Gateway Control
Protocol (MGCP) Redirect and Reset Package'
<draft-foster-mgcp-redirect-06.txt> as an Informational RFC.

The IESG would also like the IRSG or RFC-Editor to review the comments in
the datatracker
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/public/pidtracker.cgi?command=view_id&dTag=9393&rfc_flag=0)
related to this document and determine whether or not they merit
incorporation into the document. Comments may exist in both the ballot
and the comment log.

The IESG contact person is Jon Peterson.

Technical Summary

The base Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) specification (RFC3435) allows
endpoints to be re-directed one endpoint at a time. This document provides
extensions in the form of a new MGCP package that provides mechanisms for
redirecting and resetting a group of endpoints. It also includes the ability to
more accurately re-direct endpoints by allowing a list of Call Agents to be
specified in a preferred order.

Working Group Summary

This was not a working group document.

Protocol Quality

This document was reviewed for IETF conflicts by Jon Peterson.
