Body
ITU-T Q9/15 wishes to provide the IETF MPLS WG an update on our progress on the previously
liaised draft Amendment 1 to Recommendation ITU-T G.8131/Y.1382 (2014), “Linear protection
switching for MPLS transport profile (MPLS-TP): Amendment 1”.

We have made two modifications to the previously liaised draft:

- We had previously stated that we would add a figure showing the full structure of the APC
PDU to clause 8.1. We have since decided this is more appropriate to put in an informative
appendix.

- The document currently indicates that trail protection for LSP sublayers is supported but the
functional model is for further study. We have reached a conclusion on what the functional
model should be, and intend to include that in the amendment.

The updated draft of this amendment is attached. We would appreciate any comments you have on
this amendment in advance of our next meeting, which is 22 June-3 July 2015, at which time we
intend to consent the amendment.
