Comments |
The document establishes foundational terms and concepts for anomaly, incident, and fault management. Coining carefully these terms is thus important for adoption within the IETF at large (but also in discussion with other SDOs). Some of these terms may have more contextualized meaning in areas such as "incident" in security. We do appreciate your review on the scope, clarity, articulation of various concepts in the document. Of course, the WG and the authors welcome other comments specific to your area. |

Dear all, I am an assigned INT directorate reviewer for draft-ietf-nmop-terminology-07.txt. These comments were written primarily for the benefit of the INT ADs. Document editors and shepherd(s) should treat these comments just like they would t reat comments from any other IETF contributors and resolve them along with any other LC comments that have been received. For more details on the INT Directorate, see https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/intarea/about/. Based on my review, if I was on the IESG I would ballot this document in the early draft state as On the Right Track. I would like to thank the authors for their work on this important topic. I think the draft follows the right approach but needs further clarification and details especially with regard and reference to other SDOs as e.g., 3GPPs Management/Network Data Analytics (MDA/NWDA) (e.g., 3GPP TS28.104) and similar approaches and considerations at ETSI, IEEE, ITU-T etc. In addition the nits detected are noted in diff tool result sent in extra email. Thanks and best regards Dirk
