Donald E. Eastlake 3rd
Donald Eastlake was recently a Principal Engineer with Futurewei Technologies working on advanced network product standards and research. He previously worked for Cisco on the Cisco Network Registrar product improving its IPv6 and DNSSEC support, and before that with Motorola in their Broadband Network Research Laboratory. In the IETF, Donald is an author of 104 RFCs. He currently Co-Chairs the IETF MANET Working Group and has Chaired or Co-Chaired six no longer active IETF Working Groups in the Internet, Routing, Security, and Applications Areas: the TRILL, PPPEXT, XMLDSIG, ECML, TRADE, BABEL, and CALEXT Working Groups. He is a member of the IETF Routing, Security, and Internet Directorates.
In IEEE 802.11, Donald was Chair of 802.11ak, the General Link Task Group, and Chair of 802.11s, the Mesh Networking Task Group, for the first half of its existence. He was also active in 802.11i, the Robust Security Task Group. He has been both an IEEE 802.1 and 802.11 voter,
In the Broadband Forum, Donald was editor of TR-457, "FMIF Functional Requirements", and TR-458, "Wireless and Wireline Convergence with Control and User Plane Separation: Reference Architecture, Interface, and Protocol Specification".
